“Here at Burton’s Biscuits we are working on a diversity & inclusion project and I felt the subject of size diversity and body acceptance was something we were missing. I have listened to Fierce Fatty Podcast and I thought Victoria would be a perfect to talk to our large workforce.
I would definitely recommend working with Victoria and would recommend them to colleagues. Victoria has created some interesting conversations and it definitely got people thinking and engaged.
What I really liked about working with Victoria is that everything went really smoothly and people are eager to learn more.
P.S. We are all still talking about you and your talk here at Burton’s!”
Who I love to work with:
Companies that are committed to unlearning their biases included weight bias, racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, etc.
Folks who have already have a basic understanding of fat politics (aka you know diets don’t work and that fat people deserve respect and not put on a diet) and want to bring that message to their employees/company.
Those who are open to sharing topics that some in their organization may feel are “controversial.” For example, some employees may lack education around size diversity and think fat people should “just lose weight.” That’s ok, we all come with different knowledge…but understand that these folks may have opinions on the topics I talk about and may want to express them to you as the organizer.
Who I cannot work with:
People who believe fatness is a problem to be solved
Those who want me to teach about how to get fat people to lose weight or be “healthy.”
Companies not comfortable and ready to talk about size diversity
Leaders who are not willing to shut down fatphobia when it arises.
Who the heck are you?
Let me introduce myself in case you don’t already know me!
Hi, I’m Victoria and I am an anti-diet, pro-fatty body acceptance coach, TEDx speaker, best-selling author, previous Adjunct Professor at UBC (the #2 uni in Canada), and the human behind Fierce Fatty. Phew, that was a lot of words!
I didn’t always like my fat body. In fact, I thought it was disgusting.
I went from being homeless, physically, emotionally, and sexually abused with self-esteem that was achingly low into the courageous (and confident) fierce fatty and fat activist I am today.
I am non-binary and my pronouns are they/them/theirs.
“I could see in the comments how incredibly helpful it was! I so so appreciate you and the work you do!!!!
Thanks again! We will be keeping in touch ;)”
Where have I seen you before?
I like to get about! I’ve been on the BBC watched by millions, on lotsssss of podcasts, and featured in articles and books (like Anti-Diet by Christy Harrison and Evelyn Trobole’s new book Intuitive Eating for Every Day).
I have 35K followers on IG so maybe you saw me there…or perhaps you just saw me dancing in my bikini like a donkey at a local Vancouver pool? I also have a well-known TEDx talk where, you guessed it, I danced around in my bikini like a donkey.

“Thank you so much, Victoria! That was incredible and so valuable for everyone. I love your energy and how you teach, it’s such a joy!”
“Victoria, I wanted to say that I found your session to be inspirational, necessary, and fun. Your enthusiasm is contagious (in a wonderful way). You rock!”
“I would highly recommend Victoria’s workshop. They are dynamic and engaging.”
“Victoria brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm, professionalism, humour, and heart to everything they do. We were thrilled to have Victoria come to visit our office twice. ”
